Our full service ski shop has been offering quality gear and service to the Helena area for nearly 50 years. Our ski tuning shop can handle anything from basic tunes to the nastiest core shot repairs. We offer ski boot heat fitting and blowing shells for the perfect fit.

Expertise - Jim Holland
Jim has been a key part of Capital Sports since 1984. Jim has managed a number of our departments and staff throughout those years to include skis, firearms, archery, watersports and our ski, watersports rental and service shops. Formally trained in aircraft mechanics he has a brilliant mechanical mind. When it comes to kayak and ski knowledge, you will not find anyone around that has more experience and product awareness than Jim. He can get you going in any one of our departments with expert advice!
Expertise - Eric Brown
Eric Brown has been in the ski/outdoor industry for 18 years. Raft repair, custom boot fitting, and ski tuning are just a few things he has picked up along the way. Eric is a dedicated and knowledgeable backcountry telemark skier and is looking forward to sharing his expertise with the community. He really enjoys teaching people new things about the outdoors. Having guided in Texas, Colorado, Montana and Alaska, he's always happy to talk gear or even share exciting hunting stories. Outside of work you'll more than likely catch Eric either on a mountain somewhere or close to a river.
Expertise - Jeff Linton
Jeff's work in different areas of the world has afforded him the opportunity to recreate in many unique places. Jeff has experience kayaking/sailing the Great Lakes, the Atlantic coast from New England to Florida, Bermuda, the Caribbean, West Africa, British Indian Ocean Territory and the Persian Gulf. He absolutely loves paddling and skiing. He has skied in Maine, Virginia, Ohio, Colorado and especially loves skiing at his home mountain Great Divide and dropping a knee at Showdown.
Jeff worked as an instructor at Great Divide and can be found there often as well as XC skiing on Macdonald Pass. For all of you who may run cold in winter, Jeff is one of those folks who gets really cold hands and feet when winter camping and skiing. He can point you in the right direction for the right gear this winter season to stay warm and comfortable on the mountain, around the house and in town!
Expertise - Tabor Dussault
Tabor Dussault is an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt, fish, and ski.
He began skiing at 3 and soon began competing in Nordic events nationally following in the footsteps of his mom, Olympian Rebecca Dussault. Tabor loves the steep and deep. He learned to ski on some of the most challenging inbound terrain in North America and soon took a liking to backcountry skiing. At age 16 he completed his first freeride competition at Castle Mt. in Alberta, coming in 4th behind two pros that ski for Head and Line. For the past two years he has coached freeride and plans to pursue a spot on the Freeride World Tour in the coming years. Tabor is pursuing a dream to be an Alaskan bush pilot and has worked as a commercial Alaska fisherman. Tabor is eager to explore Montana and help others fulfill their passions for the outdoors here in God's country.
